Neighborhood
Campo de Fiori is a large piazza that for centuries now has been a food and flower market with a very appropriate name that in translation means "field of flowers." When you are here, you can imagine medieval Romans walking from one merchant to another, and you are following in their steps. The square is surrounded by buildings, small restaurants, and cafes. This Square is schizophrenic! By day, it is the seat of Rome's flower market (as the name indicated) and it's really worth seeing as it is the more "traditional" face of the Campo. By night, it's a meeting point for Roman youth and tourists and the Campo manages to be even more cramped that the Porta Portese market at peak hour! Though, a lot of good bars are located here (if you can find a seat!). Usually, people make a meeting point of the statue of Giordano Bruno that's in the middle of the square. This statue is here because this square has also been in those long gone medieval times the place of mass executions, and Giordano Bruno was burnt at the stake here over 400 years ago for his philosophical views that clashed with the religious teachings. Behind the Campo you can admire Piazza Farnese with the beautiful Palazzo Farnese that is one of the amazing buildings in Rome. It has a very imposing light-colored fa ade and its design has become the prototype for a lot of palaces built in Rome afterwards. A lot of famous artists worked on the building, including Michelangelo, who added the third floor and had plans to connect this palace with Villa Farnesina in Trastevere by a bridge, but that was never realized. It has been the French Embassy for over 350 years. Unfortunately, you are not allowed inside, but in front of the embassy you can see pictures of the restoration efforts taking place inside. They show the original frescoes and how the restoration effort uncovers the original colors that sometimes are so bright that nobody expects that (very much like Michelangelo's frescoes on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel).

This is an enchanting 1-bedroom apartment with a spacious living room, from which you can enjoy an astonishing view of the Louvre. The apartment is located on one of the most famous and central street of Paris that was previously called « Rue Impériale ». This street, along « Le Louvre », spreads from. “La Place de la Bastille” to “La place de la Concorde” crossing “La place des Pyramides”. Located in the magical triangle of Paris: Opera / Châtelet / Louvre, all those monuments are reachable in less than 10 minutes by feet. If you wander around, you will discover the charm of the nearby streets, secret and historical galleries and of course the famous monument of the Parisian “Wall Street”: La Bourse.
This perfectly central apartment, located in a safe and secure building, is ideal for a holiday stay in Paris. Upon entering the apartment, windows cover the entire south facing wall, filling the apartment with natural sunlight!
The living area with large plush sofa, as well as velvet covered love seat, provide ample seating for enjoying an evening's aperatif! The adjoining dining area provides seating for up to 4 people, and gives the perfect setting for eating a French home cooked meal.The small, but fully functional kitchen is completely equipped.
The bedroom, with comfortable queen size bed, is the perfect haven to relax after a long day out exploring Paris. The adjoining bathroom has a standing shower, and drying towel rack.

We are Carmen and Mauro. We live and work in Italy but we like to spend week-ends in one of our properties we have in Venice, Paris, New York or exchange one of our properties to stay in the most important locations in the world. We are fond of vacation rental and home-exchange. Some of our friends have taken the same "disease" and we are pleased to help them in trading and renting their homes.
